Dance is a discipline and a uniform is set to put all students in the right frame of mind, helping them learn and enjoy themselves and giving them pride in their art and their team. The uniform allows the teachers to see that you are dancing correctly and safely and to ensure correct body placement and correct use of muscles.
After a maximum of three weeks (to ensure your child is enjoying dance and wants to stay) uniforms must be worn to every lesson with the correct footwear.
Basic Class Uniform
Jazz, Contemporary & Modern
Our uniform is a black sleeveless leotard, camel shoes for 8 years and black jazz shoes/boots for 10 years and above. Boys can wear black singlets & shorts. Black Jazz shoes/boots.
Tap
Black shorts and new blue polo shirt available through office for $27. Camel tap shoes for girls and black for boys.
Ballet
Tiny tots: fairy dresses, ballerina costumes, free expression welcome.
Pre-Primary & Primary: Pale pink leotard and ballet skirt
(Available Big W & Target), pink ballet stockings, ballet shoes.
Grade 1 - Grade 6 Maroon leotard skirt (to be tied at waist not hips), pink ballet stockings, pink ballet shoes (ribbons Grade 2 up).
Majors: Navy blue leotard & skirt (to be tied at waist not hips), pink stockings, ballet shoes, pointe shoes.
Boys need black ballet tights, a tight fitting white bonds T-shirt and black ballets. No shorts, singlets, T-shirts, loose jewellery to be worn by anyone.
JFH
Students in funky jazz classes are required to wear a leotard but may wear dance pants available at the dance shops or bike pants or other shorts as long as they are out of a stretch material. No denim is allowed. Black Volleys or Black Jazz Boots. Please no baggy T Shirts and hair must be worn up if long.
Hip Hop
Casual attire & joggers acceptable.
